  • This website is now closed:  We're proud to present a new and friendlier website for our school.  Please visit our new home at addamshs.com.  This current website has stopped receiving updates as of March 16th, 2021.  Thank you for visiting and we hope you like the new look.
  • Return to Campus Family Guide and Survey:  Please click on the desired language  to view a digital copy of the Return to Campus Family Guide in English or Spanish.  Visit this "Return to Campus Survey" to make your selection for your student due on Friday, March 19th.  Thank you!
  • Jane Addams HS Office Hours Mondays through Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.:  Dear Parents and Students, Jane Addams HS Office/Campus has resumed and are open 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays.  Please keep in mind that students will continue having zoom classes remotely as they have been.  If you need to contact the office, our number remains the same at 818-271-2946 and your call will be forwarded to one of our on call staff members.  Alternately, you can call the office manager at 747-444-1223 or the office staff at 818-650-1366.  You can also reach our counselor at 818-646-4892 and the principal at 818-457-6578.  Please have your student continue logging into schoology and attend their zoom classes weekdays.  Food relief efforts at various campuses will continue to be served.  If you want to read the full message from our LAUSD Superintendent, Mr. Austin Beutner, please click here. 
  • Free Covid-19 Testing:  Please book your free COVID-19 test by clicking here.  You may obtain your student ID number through the parent portal at https://parentportalapp.lausd.net/parentaccess/ or by calling our LAUSD hotline at 213-443-1300.
  • Daily Health Screening Questionnaire:  For anyone visiting the campus including staff who are coming in for work, please click here for a list of questionnaires to screen your health prior to coming in.  If you answer "YES" to any of the questions, please contact the principal or office manager immediately since you will not be allowed to come/stay at the campus.  Thank you!
  • Virtual Helpdesk 8:30AM - 2:30PM Weekdays:  Parents and students, we've just launched our virtual helpdesk to help you navigate this school year
  • Parent Portal Access:  Parents, please click here for instructions on how to access the parent portal to keep track of your child's academic progress.  You may access it directly by visiting the parent portal link.
  • Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and Students: Please continue working in SCHOOLOGY.  Students enrolled in EDGENUITY may continue working by logging in.  Remember to check our website often and refer to the "Academics" tab for details on your class assignments.  Students enrolled in Administration of Justice college course should also go there to view instructions on how to log into the class online.  A list of teachers and staffs' emails can be found here should you need to contact them and their remote learning schedule are listed in this page below.  Further information and updates will be dispersed to you via ConnectED phone messages and emails.

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We appreciate your visit and are pleased to use this medium to keep you current on all Jane Addams High School activities, including upcoming events and various Addams HS and LAUSD publications.  As you navigate through our site you will learn more about our students, teachers and administration.


Located adjacent to John F. Kennedy High School, Jane Addams High School serves students from Granada Hills and the greater San Fernando Valley area.  We have a diverse student population from 18 different high schools in attendance.  With a population and class size that's smaller than a comprehensive high school your child will receive more personal attention with a more flexible academic program that is tailored to their personal needs. Our focus on individualized learning, innovative credit recovery programs, college preparation, and high expectations are what set us apart from traditional comprehensive high schools.  We maintain a structured but relaxed atmosphere where students feel accepted, safe and supported. All of our teachers are fully credentialed and we have a terrific support staff including Counselor, Counseling Assistant, Social Worker, Office Technician, and Teacher Assistant.  We offer an afternoon credit recovery program as well as college courses through L.A. Mission College.
